I memorialize on his kindness done and wish to make merits for devotion to my father, mother, ancestors, teachers, benefactors, kindred, friends and all mankind by spreading Buddhism and giving Dhamma to all people both Thai and foreigners as per Tharn Arjarn’s preaching. Therefore I did choose to collect, translate and publish his precious Dhamma poetries which composed of both poetic and wise meaningful lyrics. Especially, for everyone who intend to read, understand and try to practise by follow his valuable teaching in these poems. They will get the best advices for their right, good and useful living absolutely.

I would like to pay my highest respect and thankful to Tharn Arjarn Buddhadasa Bhikkhu, Tharn Arjarn Bhodhi (Buddhadhammo Bhikkhu), The present abbot of Wat Tharn Nam Lai (Suan Mokhabhalaram), my father & mother (Pa & Mae), Dr. Kosum & Khunmae Pacharee Sukthaworn. Also thanks to my younger brother, Mr. Sorut Sukthaworn, First Secretary, Ministry of Foreign Affairs and everybody who concerned and assisted me to finish this precious book completely and successfully as my will.

Actually. It’s my pleasure to have a good chance to give Dhamma and spread out some part of Tharn Arjarn Buddhadasa’s worthwhile works to humankind. That means I have done one of the right duties of the real Buddhist who “was born to be a humanitarian and met Buddhism” as said and taught by Tharn Arjarn Buddhadasa.
