As the original editor and a contributing translator of Keys to Natural Truth, I am grateful that friends at the Buddhadāsa Indapañño Archives are reproducing this work in new formats. The original translations were done before personal computers were available. We moved from offset printing to linotype and then computerized, all of which ended up on paper. Then the internet developed and we’ve evolved from crude html to these new portable formats. I suppose they will be superseded before long. As I continue to age, I may not keep up, but I still appreciate the value these efforts to make Buddha-Dhamma teachings available on our various devices. Although I am personally partial to old-fashioned print, I can see how many others will prefer these formats (epub and what have you).

In whatever format you read these words—print, digital, or holographic—may you allow these teachings to reach into your heart, mind, and gut to nurture the process of awakening, which, after all, is independent of technology and formats. The Dhamma is found in how we take these teachings to heart, examine them carefully in our own lives, and test them by following the path pointed to by the Buddha. However you read these words, may they come to life in your own bodies and minds.
