The Art of Living #3
In training the mind in order to have and use Buddhist art, Buddhadāsa Bhikkhu recommends the practice of ānāpānasati bhāvanā (development of the mind through mindfulness with breathing in and out). He explains how to do this with the four fundamental subjects of our practice and investigation of life: breathing or body (kāya), feelings (vedanā), the mind (citta) itself, and all the things which surround life (dhammas). He goes into detail about the way of practicing ānāpānasati, and how the attachment we have to things begins to fade away, is quenched, and the mind is free.
