The Four Noble Truths #5
Buddhadasa Bhikkhu
Nirodhadhatu (nirodha) is ‘to be experienced’. So whenever there is no craving, whenever the mind is free of craving, when craving has been put out; then there is nirodha.
When the mind quenched, that means it has no desire, none of this craving. So it’s thoroughly at ease and peace. It’s not in any conflict or contradiction with reality. This is what we mean by dukkhanirodha – the quenching of craving.
