I had received a request from a well-intentioned lay Buddhist devotee, Miss Supha Vongsena, to translate ‘The Three Wishes’ – a Dhamma discourse delivered by Buddhadasa – into English and Chinese since last December, 2005.

Realising that the ‘three wishes of Buddhadasa Bhikkhu’ are very relevant to the present world situation, I have agreed to undertake the task of translating the book.

I take this opportunity to express my most profound gratitude to Madame Siang Sue Wongprayoon, also another well-intentioned lady devotee, for her generous financial contribution in support of the printing of the translated books.

Also I must express my most sincere gratitude to Mr. Virod Siriard for his valuable assistance.
