8604 – [3 of 3] The Noble Eightfold Path
Buddhadāsa Bhikkhu helps us understand what the Noble Eightfold Path is and how it leads to liberation – the New Life. He reminds us that the Noble Eightfold Path is often called ‘the middle way,’ and that by staying in balance – in the middle and away from extremes – we avoid suffering. He compares the Noble Eightfold Path to a single rope with the eight strands of Right Understanding, Right Thought, Right Speech, Right Action, Right Livelihood, Right Effort, Right Mindfulness, and Right Concentration.
This Dhamma teaching was offered by Tan Ajahn on 9th April 1986.
