8901-The Four Noble Truths-audio

8901 – [3 of 7] Noble Truth of Dukkha

Buddhadāsa Bhikkhu continues his examination of dukkha and explains why the most important point in Buddhism is the one about ‘atta’ and ‘anatta’ or ‘self’ and ‘not self.’ He further elaborates on the five khandhas and how they torment us only if we attach to them. He warns against useless Buddhist books that offer superficial cultural stuff because Real Buddhism is just one thing – removing attachment, getting rid of that ‘I’ and ‘mine’ regarding the five khandhas.

This Dhamma teaching was offered by Tan Ajahn on 8th January 1989.
