8901 – [7 of 7] Concluding Facts about the Four Ariya-sacca
Buddhadāsa Bhikkhu states that the Noble Truths must lead to the overcoming of our enemies or we can’t call them ‘ariya.’ He emphasizes that in studying the Ariya-sacca, the important thing is to discover for ourselves the meaning of dukkha and the quenching of dukkha – this is the essence. And he encourages us to study the Four Noble Truths and practice carefully according to them until understanding them thoroughly and having them firmly within our hearts.
This Dhamma teaching was offered by Tan Ajahn on 12nd January 1989.
